When she isn’t leading oversight and governance of BNY Mellon’s technology disaster recovery program, Huron Benson ’00 is building pathways to success for Montclair students through her involvement in the Black Alumni Advisory Council.

Trustee emeritus and Bloomfield College Alumni Association president emeritus, John Delucca ’66, looks back on productive career as an executive vice president at a Fortune 500 company and how he cultivated leadership skills during his time at Bloomfield.

On July 1, Bloomfield College officially became a part of �ǿ����޴�ý University and was renamed Bloomfield College of �ǿ����޴�ý University. As traditions and histories of both institutions are joined, leadership sees opportunities for collaboration that will benefit students and alumni at both campuses. Recently, we had the chance to connect with Bloomfield College Alumni Association President Maurice Lyle ’09 to learn more.

A journey that started with a basketball scholarship took Gage Daye ’12 around the world and back. Now a successful real estate developer, entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, and author, Daye works to improve life in his hometown of Newark and to help youth reach their full potential. Currently vice president of the Bloomfield College Alumni Association, he seeks to pay it forward to the next generation.

Motivational speaker, licensed real estate broker and community leader Tezeta “Tez” Roro ’06 is a wellspring of positive energy who has used her undergraduate education as the springboard for a successful career.

For Mary Ann (Leonard) ’70 and Michael ’70 Siklosi, Montclair degrees provided a solid foundation for graduate school and successful careers at Procter & Gamble. Their time at Montclair also paved the way to a happy life together. In 2021, their family celebrated the Siklosi’s 50th wedding anniversary with a special gift to reward high achieving chemistry majors.

The path to completing a college degree can take many routes, and this past May, we welcomed to our alumni community the first cohort of graduates from a new, accelerated degree program offered through University College. Launched in Fall 2021, the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies is designed for adults over the age of 25 who are returning to college to complete their degree.
