The event will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 6 p.m. at The Conference Center, University Hall.<\/p>\n<p>The gala recognizes the University\u2019s academic excellence, creative achievement and public impact while raising support for the President\u2019s <em>Carpe Futurum Fund<\/em>, a new opportunity to advance student success and community engagement across the region.<\/p>\n<p>Guests can expect an evening of exceptional hors d\u2019oeuvres, food stations and cocktails, alongside immersive experiences that showcase Montclair\u2019s academic and artistic strengths. The program will feature live performances by students from the <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/arts\/\" target=\"_blank\">College of the Arts<\/a>, spotlighting the next generation of creative talent.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Investing in the Future<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Building on the contributions of individuals, corporations and foundations, this year\u2019s event continues a growing tradition of bringing together alumni, campus leaders and partners to celebrate milestones and invest in the University\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCelebrate Montclair marks a new chapter for our community, bringing us together to invest in students, spark new ideas and strengthen our connection to Montclair\u2019s mission,\u201d says Rita Walters, vice president for Development and Alumni Engagement. \u201cWhen alumni and friends come together in support of the <em>Carpe Futurum Fund<\/em>, they are opening doors for students, strengthening our partnerships and helping the University lead with purpose in a rapidly changing world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur alumni are at the center of celebrating Montclair excellence,\u201d says Jeanne Marano, associate vice president for Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement. \u201cThis gala is a moment to come home, reconnect with one another and see firsthand how continued involvement and generosity translate into scholarships, programs and partnerships that shape today\u2019s students and tomorrow\u2019s leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the gala will establish the <em>President\u2019s Carpe Futurum Fund<\/em>, which will support mission-critical initiatives aligned with Montclair\u2019s role as a public-serving institution advancing the common good.<\/p>\n<p>The fund will focus on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Expanding access to education<\/strong> through scholarships for a diverse population of high-achieving, motivated students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strengthening inclusive learning environments<\/strong> that prepare students and employees to lead with collaboration and compassion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advancing research and creativity<\/strong> to address shared challenges and develop innovative, human-centered solutions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deepening community partnerships<\/strong> to promote prosperity, democracy and well-being.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your support for Celebrate Montclair will count toward our ONE DAY for Montclair campaign totals, helping us create opportunities, elevate achievements and celebrate our students.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Event Details<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>We look forward to welcoming alumni, friends and partners for an evening that acknowledges Montclair\u2019s legacy, celebrates its impact, and invests in the University\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrate Montclair: A Spring Gala<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Date:<\/strong> Thursday, April 16, 2026<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 6 p.m.<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> The Conference Center, University Hall, 星空无限传媒 University<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/montclair.edu\/celebrate-montclair\" target=\"_blank\">montclair.edu\/celebrate-montclair<\/a> for tickets and sponsorship opportunities.
