Canvas Guest and Temporary accounts are approved according to Montclair鈥檚 .聽 Once your guest/temp account is approved, you will receive an email regarding your account via the email address you provided.
Configure your Canvas Guest/Temp Account
- To complete the configuration of your guest/temp account, click the registration link provided in the email to access the password creation page.

- To set your password, enter your desired password in the password field and enable the agreement checkbox. Click the 鈥Register鈥 button to complete the process.

- After setting your password, go to the Canvas (montclair.edu/canvas) webpage then click on the 鈥Guest/Temp Login鈥 button located on the right side of your screen.

- Enter your entire email address (ex. youremail@example.com) in the NetID field when prompted, along with the password you created, then click 鈥Log In.鈥

Reset Your Canvas Guest/Temp Account Password
If you鈥檝e already configured your guest/temp account and need to reset your password please follow the steps below.
- Click on the 鈥Reset Guest Password鈥 link located below the 鈥淪tay signed in鈥 checkbox and to the left of the 鈥淟og In鈥 button.

- You will be prompted to enter your 鈥淢SU NetID,鈥 however please enter the email address (ex. youremail@example.com) associated with your Canvas access.

- After inputting your email, click the 鈥Request Password鈥 button on the bottom right side of your screen.

- You will be prompted with a message from Montclair Canvas regarding a password confirmation including a link to reset your password. Please click on the link and follow the instructions provided.
