{"id":116,"date":"2018-10-24T13:56:18","date_gmt":"2018-10-24T17:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/iapc\/?page_id=116"},"modified":"2019-04-16T09:15:26","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T13:15:26","slug":"iapc-visiting-scholars","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/iapc\/iapc-visiting-scholars\/","title":{"rendered":"IAPC Visiting Scholars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In accordance with its mission to conduct scholarship, curriculum development and professional development in Philosophy for Children, the IAPC welcomes Visiting Scholars for periods of weeks, months, semesters, or an entire academic year.\u00a0 All Visiting Scholars to the IAPC must attend the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/iapc\/iapc-summer-seminar\/\">IAPC Summer Seminar<\/a>\u00a0the first week of August as part of their visit.<\/p>\n<p>In order to request a visit, please send a Proposal of Scholarship and a Curriculum Vitae to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:iapc@montclair.edu\">iapc@montclair.edu<\/a>.\u00a0 Please include the following in the Proposal of Scholarship:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Detailed description of your project (such as research, curriculum development or professional development in Philosophy for Children) specifying why you selected the IAPC \/ 星空无限传媒 University.<\/li>\n<li>Expected outcomes and timeline for the project.<\/li>\n<li>Your level of proficiency in written and spoken English.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the IAPC accepts your proposal, you will be put into communication with the University&#8217;s Global Education Center to make financial and visa arrangements.\u00a0 The Global Education Center will also require a report of your work at the end of your visit.<\/p>\n<h2>The IAPC Provides Visiting Scholars:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A faculty advisor<\/li>\n<li>Consultation with other faculty members<\/li>\n<li>Professional venues for their work (e.g., talks, workshops &amp; publications)<\/li>\n<li>A temporary 星空无限传媒 email account<\/li>\n<li>Certificate and letter of recognition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>The IAPC Does Not Provide:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Salary<\/li>\n<li>Housing or living expenses<\/li>\n<li>Travel expenses<\/li>\n<li>Health Insurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Visa Information<\/h2>\n<p>International visitors from certain countries may enter the United States without a visa.
