Doctoral candidate Toni York, recent PhD graduate Dr. Erell Germia, and their advisor Dr. Nicole Panorkou recently published the paper 鈥溾 in the journal聽.
The paper details a Scratch programming activity where students utilized what they learned about math and science in a Rock Cycle module to debug (fix) the path that a rock named George needs to follow. This study was a result of their work in their ACMES project 鈥淎ssimilating Computational and Mathematical Thinking through Earth and Environmental Science鈥 which was funded by the National Science Foundation.
