{"id":100,"date":"2018-08-02T18:25:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-02T18:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/university-policies\/?post_type=policies&#038;p=100"},"modified":"2026-04-22T09:04:48","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T13:04:48","slug":"deans-list","status":"publish","type":"policies","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/policies\/all-policies\/deans-list\/","title":{"rendered":"Dean\u2019s List &#8211; Undergraduate"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Dean\u2019s List<\/h2>\n<p><em>This policy is for undergraduate students<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Dean\u2019s List, issued after the close of the Fall and Spring semesters by the academic deans, gives recognition to students with a 3.500 or higher semester GPA if a minimum of 12 credits is earned in courses that contribute to the GPA and if there are no IN (Incomplete) grades for that semester.<\/p>\n<p>Part-time undergraduate students are eligible for the Dean\u2019s List each time they achieve a GPA of 3.500 or higher on 12 or more credits (no IN) which contribute to the GPA. The credits must be earned in two consecutive semesters (excluding summer) with a minimum of six credits in each term. Once a semester\u2019s credits have been used to successfully attain Dean\u2019s List status for a part-time student, they may not be used for this purpose again. Dean\u2019s List designation is included in a student\u2019s Academic Transcript available on their NEST account.
