Spring 2025 Reminders for Instructors

Please see the new academic calendar announcement from August. As you complete your fall courses, consider how you will condense your course to meet the new formats.

Key Points:

• Spring 2025 Sessions A and B begin Friday, January 17. Classes will meet for 14 and 7 week sessions on a Monday Schedule.
• The new schedule has two common hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
• The calendar of University meetings has changed – see administrative calendar/schedule of meetings.

Important Dates:

• There are no classes on Monday, January 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
• Spring 2025 Session B ends Friday, March 7
• The last day of Spring 2025 Session A and C is Monday, May 5. Classes will meet on a Friday schedule.

University Libraries Course Reserves

Making course materials (including textbooks, book chapters, articles, videos, and more) available for free through the library’s course reserves collections is not only convenient but can help minimize students’ textbook expenses. University Libraries Course Reserves is available through the Course Reserves page on the library website and the library reserves FAQ.

Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid is an in person eight (8) hour course that teaches adults 18 years and older how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

Upcoming Training dates for faculty and staff are Tuesday, January 14 and Wednesday, January 15. Register by completing the . Once registered, you will receive an email asking you to sign up on the Mental Health First Aid Connect website and only after that can you be added to the course schedule. Training is free for attendees, but space is limited. Meals and materials are provided by Counseling and Psychological Services.
