Kinesiology Professor Teams Up with USA Wheelchair Football League for Veteran All-Star Game
Melissa Alexander will be supporting wheelchair athletes at the 2nd Annual Veteran All Star Game during Super Bowl LIX pregame festivities.

Family Swim Night
The Department of Athletics and Recreation invites you to bring your family (up to 4 guests) to Family Swim Night today, Friday, January 31, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center Pool. You and your family will have FREE use of the pool and locker rooms (no membership to the facility is required). Flotation devices are allowed as long as they are USCG approved. Life jackets will also be available.
Please note the following:
- Bring your Montclair ID in order to check-in.
- No prior registration required. First come, first served.
- You must accompany your guests at all times during the program.
- All children must be over the age of 5 and fully potty-trained.
The next Family Swim Night will take place Friday, February 28.
Cooking with Koppell
Do you make the best pozole? Do you know someone who is an amazing chef? Nominate them to be on the next episode of Cooking with Koppell! This student-produced show features Red Hawk students, staff, and faculty teaching President Koppell how to make a dish that reflects their heritage, family, or experiences. The show celebrates the diversity and stories of the Montclair community. This upcoming season, we are particularly excited to feature our staff鈥攖he dedicated individuals working both behind the scenes and on the front lines鈥攚hose invaluable contributions keep our university running smoothly. a great cook and storyteller today!
Reminders
2024 W-2 Form Now Available in Workday
Employees who have elected to receive an electronic W-2 only, have access to view their W-2 in . From your Workday homepage, select the Pay icon from the apps list, then select My Tax Documents. Once in My Tax Documents, scroll down to view a table with available tax year W-2 documents to view/print.
In accordance with IRS Guidelines, employees that are receiving a paper copy will have their W-2 mailed out by today, Friday, January 31. Please note that if your W-2 is two pages, you will receive two envelopes in the mail. You may check to see how you have elected to receive your W-2 in My Tax Documents. Your selection is noted under Current Year End Tax Document Printing Elections.
Emergency Preparedness Training
The University Police Department and Emergency Management offers free training classes to faculty, staff and students interested in learning how to react in critical emergencies.
- 鈥淲hen Seconds Count鈥 is a course geared to help you recognize police, fire and medical emergencies, how to report them and what you can do to assist while awaiting UPD arrival.
- 鈥淓ncountering or Observing an Active Assailant鈥 offers critical information on what to look for, reporting, actions to take and being vigilant should you ever encounter an active assailant.

- To Elizabeth Emery and Kathleen Loysen (Humanities and Social Sciences), who accepted an award at the Modern Language Association Convention on behalf of the six colleagues responsible for developing a new online (CHILL).

- To Jessica Brandt (Associate Dean, Humanities and Social Sciences), who was awarded a $10,000 HERS-Mellon Fellowship to participate in the .
