The University Bookstore is Montclair鈥檚 exclusive provider of textbooks and course materials for both the Montclair and Bloomfield campuses. Faculty at 星空无限传媒 University are expected to order textbooks and course materials through the University Bookstore.
Ordering Textbooks From the University Bookstore Helps Students!
- Students can easily see what books and materials are required for your class both in Canvas and on the University Bookstore website.
- At the push of a button, students can seamlessly use their financial aid dollars to cover their textbook costs; no other provider can accept these funds directly.
- Students can access and use textbook scholarships that are only accepted at the University Bookstore. When your order isn鈥檛 there, they lose the ability to use those funds.
- Students can choose from print, electronic, rental, and purchase options to obtain the materials that best meet their needs.
- The higher the volume of textbook adoptions by faculty, the greater the volume discounts the University Bookstore can offer, so more adoptions equals lower costs for students!
- By submitting your textbook adoption early, you help ensure that students have access to affordable course materials on time.

Order Online Using Follett Discover
is a comprehensive set of online tools where faculty can research, discover, and adopt course materials with ease. Follett Discover has been integrated into the University learning management system, Canvas.
This streamlined process ensures you have the right materials for your students, whether you’re selecting new editions, opting for digital resources, or choosing textbook rentals.
To Begin Using Follett Discover
- Log into Canvas with your NetID and password.
- Once logged into Canvas, click on the 鈥淒iscover鈥 tab on the left side of the Canvas dashboard.
- Discover will bring you to your Discover home page that will list the courses you are actively teaching for the upcoming term.
- Use the 鈥淒iscover Course Materials鈥 tool to start searching for course materials for registered courses.
- Once you have found course material you would like to adopt, select the material, select the material usage from the drop-down menu, and click 鈥淎dopt.鈥
- With options like Add Title, Add From Library, Add My Content, Create Content, and Discover Course Materials, you can add materials not found in the Discover library, adopt saved materials, add your own content (including OER materials), create course packs with XanEdu, or continue to discover course materials.
